Let it go...Sometimes people don't need to believe in things like that to live a fullfilling life. I would just worry about yourself instead of trying to fill someone else's head with Fairy Tales....the last thing this world needs is another irrational thinker.

Hard task :P I guess.. to be done only with prayer and guidance from God, I 'd say that hmmmm get to talk about something else and slowly move the topic to supernatural things, then move to angels, demons and ultimately you can bring the topic to heaven.. well, thats only a start to get talking about heaven, making the other person excited about heaven (I think) can't happen in a day.. but it also depends on how you say and what you say. Anyways wish you all the best.

If the teenager is not excited about heaven then you had better back off cause you are just going to make them rebel. Which isn't a bad idea in itself. The term "get 'em while they're young" mean anything to you? Well, that is the only way to get them "excited about heaven", feed them the fable while they are too young to think for themselves and perhaps they will stay excited about it.

It would be improper to highlite Heaven to much . I would like to know more about the person or teenager before answering this question. I am looking at your question very broadly and I can see a very weak person perhaps taking there life to get there - Suicide. We are in the biggest school that their is the - earth plane. We can learn much if we pay attention to what happens to us or what happens around us. For we are the cause of what happens? Be excitted about this earth plane - this is here & NOW. wE NEED TO LIVE IN THE HERE & NOW.

Teenagers, while governed by their hormones, are quite intelligent. The best thing you can do is lead by example. If you tell them how wonderful heaven is, then treat them with little or no respect, they will see through you immediately. If you don't understand or respect their ideas and beliefs, how do you expect them to understand or respect yours? No matter how silly, unusual, or apalling you feel their ideas and behavior are, they are very real to the person, and you need to approach them from a position that is respectful to their ideas.

Frankly I think you would be more interested in wanting a teenager excited about life and living it than what comes after.

I know what you mean. I pray lots. That is all I can do. I read "Power of a Praying Parent" that helps too. Prayer is very powerful and reading the Bible. I stand on Gods truth.
In Acts 16:31 says
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."
I stand on that and declare it in Jesus Name.
Plus setting a day a week aside for fasting only for your teenager helps too.

Why not get the teenager excited about life? Get the teen interested in doing volunteer or charity work. It's very satisfying.

im not going to put my own beliefs on this, but it would want to offer one bit of advice... make sure you know the teenager before you start pointing out how wonderful heaven is... if the teenager is depressed, telling them how great heaven is might lead to them going ahead with a sucide, thinking how much better a time they would have if they were dead...
