what is the normal cholesterol level for an 18-year-old girl?
can you explain the whole process of checking cholesterol? (i.e when you're at the hospital what exactly does the doctor do or the procedures and how long does it usually take to check your cholesterol)

They draw a blood sample and you usually will know by the next day.

Cholesterol is measured by drawing blood and doing a lab test. Dairy products are generally the source for high cholesterol as are red meats. Vegetables and fruit and there byproducts are usually free of cholesterol. Bacon cheeseburgers probably have the highest amount of cholesterol.

anything under 200 total cholesterol is good at any age. at your age i wouldn't worry about it.
