A punk in my opinion is someone that just doesn't care what anyone thinks of them no matter how they may dress or act or whatever the reason. See back in high school I was called a punk and a freak and plenty of other things worse than the previously mentioned, but I didn't care I just went about things as I always did. I had friends and got along with most everybody that would actually give me the time of day. To me it isn't about the way someone dresses that really makes them a punk though it is mostly about one's thinking and their attitude about things around them. I have met plenty of people that view things the same way that I do and would definitely consider them a punk. From all walks of life different races, religions everything. We have the right to our own opinion and we will let it be heard if we want it to be heard, everyone else gets to say what they want so why can't we. That is what a real punk is the way someone dresses might have little to do with it but really it is just a label so that you can be classified in one way or another.

"you ain't no punk you punk..
you want to talk about the real junk"
- The Cramps

A punk is a rebel. An original rebel. Pre-1967 Comeback Elvis, Johnny Rotten, Richard Hell, Joey Ramone, and Joe Strummer were punks. Vegas Elvis, Tom DeLonge, Billie Joe Armstrong and Dexter Holland are not.

Goth is not Punk especially those who think dressing in black and listening to Marilyn Manson makes you goth.

I am not a punk since I am analyzing punk. A punk rebels in his own original way that cannot and will not be accepted by the norm. A copy cat is just a rebel without a clue.
