it doesnt mean Mav wants to draw attention or that Mav isnt being modest
it means that Mav is bright and colourful just like her clothes

Well, I think it's beautiful for Mav. Didn't our wonderful God put bright pretty colors on flowers and birds and other creatures? Beauty is wonderful I think. I especially like your new ribbon more and more.
