I have never been to a Christian church that charged anything for membership. It is free to go to church and to join the church. No one from my church knows where I bank or how much money I make. I may put a dollar or two (literally) in the offering plate but that's all I can give so that's all I give. No one has to pay any certain amount to attain anything. Prayers are free, visits from the pastor are free and the people are great and down to earth real people. It is open to anyone and everyone is welcome.

I have never heard of any church having a membership fee. Some folks believe in giving 10 % of their takehome pay, others believe in giving what ever they can afford.

most Churches don't charge membership as the collection plate takes care of your membership. or at least it should

You are confusing church membership with fitness club membership.

Spiritual fitness is free so that it is accessible. Fitness clubs demands that you pay, or you just can't get in.

at our Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses we never pass around a plate, we do have a place to put money if we want to but we don't have to.

If you are serious about the faith you have, your faith will cost you your life. (I don't mean you physically die, but you give yourself to your faith)
