I mean there are over 100 million people on there and anytime anybody mention's talking to someone on myspace they get all stiff and paranoid. If that's the case what's the point? So you have a little space that's all your own on the web, whupadee do. If you can't hit on guys or girls on it with out seeming like a loser is sucks. Does anybody think otherwise out there?

I agree with you. I met my fiancee online and so have many other people. It's a great way to meet people, plus as I found out talking to them online was a really good way to break the ice. When we did meet there wasn't that first date nervousness like there normally is.

There is always a danger when using the internet as a source for dating purposes. This does not mean it is necessarily bad, but merely that precautions should be taken. With places like myspace, it is easy to register without truly giving any real proof of identity. However, in an age where information tech is growing by leaps and bounds -- the internet is becoming the new 'hot spot' for the dating scene. In some ways, there is a degree of safety because unlike meeting someone at a bar to talk and get to know them, such meetings can be done in the safety of your own home via a modem connection. Every medium of 'dating' has had their growing pains -- and for every ten successful stories of 'internet dating' you are bound to find a few negative ones. It's simply that we remember negative news more than happy news, thus red flags rise whenever someone remotely suggests online dating. I think 'myspace' and other avenues are fine, as long as you adhere to precautions. If you decide to meet someone -- do it in a public place and with others, etc. Remember, it was only about one hundred years ago that people engaged in the business of 'mail order spouses', sure the medium has changed since... but really, it's not all that different.

well myspace can be used for hitting on cute guys and girls but the whole point is some people twist it. it's just you never really know if those peopl are who they say they are. Some could be child petophiles and stalkers. so it's just best to add people you know.

cause it is creepy. You never really know who you are talking to, and can get in some dangerous situations. Besides, isn't meeting some you can reach out and touch more fun.

myspace allows people to show off who they think they are... not who they actually are. the internet allows people to create and live their own fantasy
