for Noah instead of making him build the darn thing? I mean, it must have a heck of a job for a man 600 years old.

God consistently chooses to use us as a part of his plan instead of doing it all himself. It is one way he builds character in the lives of his people. It's the same reason that Jesus entrusted his message to 12 regular men instead of just appearing to each person with that message himself. He doesn't really need us to get the job done. Still he chooses to go that route.

For Noah, building the ark was an act of faith. It took time and effort, and the need for it wasn't yet visible to Noah or the people around him. If God always magically handled everything, there would be no way to test our faith, and "without faith, it is impossible to please God."

God was separated from Man at that time, due to sin. If God just snapped His fingers and created a boat instantaneously in the sight of men, many insincere people would get on the boat. God gave the people 120 years to repent and make the choice to get on the boat, but they all refused. God is a God of mercy and wanted to give them plenty of time. It took 40 days because that's how long it took for the 7th layer of water to fall down from the atmosphere, plus the "fountains of the deep" (great pre-flood subterranean chambers full of water) to break open and empty. There was enough water to Flood the Earth 2 miles deep everywhere. In fact, today, if we were to reverse the effects of the Flood by pushing down the mountains and raising up the ocean floor to sea level, the Earth would once again be Flooded two miles deep everywhere.

Noah was a middle age man when he start to build the Ark, the average lifetimed back then was under 1000 years..

And who knows, maybe he got workers and work bees that work on its own to help him?

It's said that God 'rested' in the seventh day. So the Ark is not part of the six days creation era.

Like many of the things God commands us humans to do, it was a test. And you are right; it was a very difficult job. Not only the building of the ark itself (which took 100 years), but building it in amidst the persecution and ridicule of Noah's day was difficult to withstand.

So do understand it better.

Do you think you would have a better understanding of a car you just built yourself, than a car you just bought? He was expected to take a serious trip. It was important that he understood all the details and abilities of his ship.

As far as been 600 years old...as a God powered person, he was in his prime.

because it was a too easy job for him, he has children so that they can help him, why do our parents have children, it was a thing that had to be accomplished by man and no other way, he couldve invented the ark if he felt like wiping out all of the human race along, but that wouldve made too much of a dependence on him

No one knows what God's plan is. However my guess is that he wanted to show the people that Noah had faith and that he believed even though it was not time yet. Besides, maybe he wanted to see if Noah would hold out long enough in faith.

The universe is one thing . . . but the Ark - well you have to start thinking in cubits - that takes time!

Why can't God do what God wants, you think everybody else should.
