I believe a big part in teaching is by setting an example. Immorality teaching Godliness? I dont believe so.

A lot of people are taught by immoral, false teachers, but I wouldn't want to be taught by one.

by whose definition is the teacher immoral?

is he an evil person? is he a pedophile? is he teaching hate and intolerance?

i need a little more information before i can give an answer.

and immoral man teaches his immorality. you know just about like everyone in this world today, here again in TheTorah. for if it is not true to G-D what is being taught. then it is your immorality taught to you, being taught.

He can be. But he would have any positive influence on the children he teaches and therefore would never excel as a really great teacher

Unfortunately, yes. But should he be? Depends on whether his personal beliefs interefere with his teachings. As they probably would, then he really has no business being a teacher.

He shouldn't be, but many are. Christians especially should weigh very carefully what the scriptures say about this:

James 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.

Sure. You don't need to be moral to be a mathematics teacher or any other subject teacher. Also, there is no standard "moral" as it differs from religions and cultures.
