My 35 year old boyfriend left to FL to help his stepmom and his halfsister. After 4 weeks he wants to come back with a tatoo with her name under neath it. Do you guys think this is normal or would you think this is ok

I think it's kind of weird really. That's his flesh and blood. Maybe I could see it if she had died or something (god forbid) but if she's still alive it seems weird. Just carry a pic or something. No permanent gesture is in order, IMO.

It is Memento starring Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss and Joe Pantoliano. Written and directed by Christopher Nolan. There was no daughter, though, just a wife. The memory loss condition was a result of a blow to the head during the assault on his wife. He didn't kill his wife, someone else did, and the tattoos are clues to help him find the killer.

I think it is better to have art created by someone who knows and loves you as opposed to a perfect stranger at the tat shop. The art is more personal, original, and meaningful. The perfect trio for a new addition to his body. If the artist signs the work, that's fine.

My best friend has my nickname under the tat that I drew for her.

Its fine. No worries.

My answer would have to be nope. I don't think it's ok. I actually find that kind of strange.

Well my half brother (who ironically happens to be from florida, not the same guy, mine's older) got married young to a girl who happened to have the same fisrt name as me. They got divorced & now he says the "S (heart) K" on his arm is for me. I don't think it's that weird, maybe it's a Florida thing. Did you ask him why he wants the tattoo? maybe she has some chronic illness & its his way of paying tribute to her...
