Okay. This question popped into my mind randomly one day, so I finally decided to ask it.

Say your spouse, fiance, girlfriend, whatever, (If you're single you'll have to pretend) comes up to you and says they have undergone a sex change. And he/she was orginally a woman/man. (Pretend you never noticed, okay? ;P)

What would you do in this situation?

Now, please realize, I am not judging you or anything, I am just honestly interested in your answer, and how different people would react.

If this question is just too personal, or if for any other reason you are offended, please just ignore it and move on. Thank you. :)

(I asked this in religion and spirtuality for two reasons,
1. It's a more popular place. :p
2. It seems more a religious question or something. ?? Eh, I don't know, maybe I just felt like it )

-sigh- No, I am not in this situation.
I am just interested about the human mind, psychology, philosophy, the whole nine yards.
Always have been.

I'd be very surprised, and I would wish he had told me earlier. The with-holding of information when I am completely forthright with him would trouble me.

Once I got over that it would not bother me in the slightest. He is the man I love regardless of what body he wears or wore. He knows I would love him just as much if he were in a woman's body, though I also have to tell him I'm *awfully* pleased with the body he inhabits!

so what? they are still the same person that you loved five minutes before they told you are they not? I would not separate from my loved one because of that- I would wonder why, if we have a relationship built on trust and love that it never came up before- I think that part might come in to play under the trust heading- The only problem I could foresee for other couples in this hypothetical situation would be is if they were wanting biological children

nicely i'd have suggested stopped loving me yet when he slept with some different person then for my area he would have not loved me that second he keen to attempt this contained in the first position. yet often times that I have examine, spouses that sleep with different persons nonetheless love there husband/spouse. they only don't have that pastime. So i imagine issues would nicely be fastened after some thing like that occurs. yet without love you may't.. if that makes any experience to you lol

I think the key here is you are stating they have already undergone it and if they take such a life changing step without discussing it with you before hand then there is no trust or basis for a relationship anyway.

My current wife gave birth to my child so its now I have to entertain your hypothetical with my wife dies and I remarry.

Yeah I'd say its divorce time. I'm an atheist so its got nothing to do with God, just want to be married to "woman".
