Very possibly not. Windows doesn't completely erase a file, it just makes that space on the drive able to be written over. If the space isn't used, other software programs are able to "un"delete the file, or parts of it. If the space the file occupied is written to, then it's gone.

Tune up utilities 2006 has a file recover program. All the computer does when you delete something is mark it as deleted ready to be overwritten. If you haven't installed or used the computer much, the chances are, it's still there but you can't guarantee it.

Go to START, then SEARCH and type in the name of the file. It may be recovered that way.

you can download a recovery program to try and get them back

ya,it has been removed fully.......one chance to get them back:::::if u installed norton antivirus,it has one option "un-erase wizard"..it saves some important files in ur pc......click search and get that again...........k........
