It's not going to make them anymore black. They will always be mixed. I'm black, and I have always wondered this.

Because of the "one drop rule" that has been ingrained in black people's history in America. It says that if you have one drop of black blood, you are black. Also, maybe they just identify more with the black side of them rather than the other side. It's their prerogative.

I doubt it's personal. Biracial persons in your experience "only go for black people" for the same reason that you or I "only go" for a particular type of person: we're attracted to them. Perhaps because people who ARE biracial actually "look black" or have been told so, they will go for the group they feel most like in appearance and/or perception.
