i have half a cup of cream for a recipe that calls for a whole cup. can i subtutute milk for the rest?

Yes, just add a pat of melted butter and 1 Tablespoon of butter. Enjoy!

Light Cream -- Mix 1 tablespoon melted butter + enough whole milk to measure 1 cup.

Yep it will need to cook longer and it won't taste as rich reduce the milk somewhat for consistancy. (hope you've made it before so yuo know what the consistancy should be)
