THey Rock!!! Go to www.cooks.com and do a search frying turkey. It will give you alternatives. You have to have a deep fry pot they usually sell them at Home Depot and Lowe's etc. You cook it outside with Peanut Oil and the temp has to be just right. The turkey has to be completely thawed and dry any moisture off of it. It really makes a juicy turkey

CAJUN FRIED WHOLE TURKEY

16 oz. Italian salad dressing
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tsp. celery salt
2-3 tbsp. Lea & Perin
1/3 bottle paprika pepper
1/2 can of beer (optional)
3 heaping tsp. Poultry Magic seasoning
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. white pepper
2 tsp. cayenne pepper
4 dashes Tabasco

Wrap legs with foil and-or wire. Cut off excess skin and fat from turkey and tail. Mix ingredients above and inject into bird with a syringe. Inject the fluid into the meat of the 2 turkeys at least 12 hours before cooking. Refrigerate. Deep fry whole bird in peanut oil for 4 minutes per pound at 340 degrees.

Mainly, do it outside in a clear open space. Use EXTREME caution in lowering the turkey into the cooking kettle and removing it. Keep an eye on the thermometer to check on the done-ness of the bird. Keep any children well away from the cooking area throughout.
That being said, my advice is to roast it in an oven. It's just too hazardous (in my opinion) to fry it.

Deep Frying
1)use an injector to keep that bird moist.
2)so long as you're going to the trouble, deep fry a whole mess of vittles to eat later on after the Turkey coma wears off.

Do your homework if you are going to deep fry one. I know of 2 different people that had set their house on fire trying to accomplish this!
P.S. I have still yet to taste deep fried turkey.

One word...Don't...

Beside the unhealthiness of frying a good meat, I watched my neighbors house burn down as flaming oil splattered on the outside and the effort to put it out took too long.

Watch yourself...

roasting drains the fat and makes it crispy and juiciy without fat and frying makes fat higher and oily turkey may come out dryier then roasting
