Why do you care what someone thinks of your faith? He is the one with the problem.

This is the type of discouragement that it talks about in the bible. You need to keep your head up high for god, if you really believe. Take the guy to church and let him see for himself, that you are a true believer. If he still does not believe then, dont worry about it. Just tell him that you will pray for him. That may shut him up, but if it does not, then maybe you should not hang out with him so much because a true friend would not question your faith.

I'm sorry that you had lost faith in Christ last year but l'm glad that you have found it again.. Some people try to manipulate others and l think this is what this guy is trying to do.. If you believe in God then stand up for him and yourself.. God will give you strength and intelligence to overcome any obstacle that you encounter on this earth.. Be faithful not only to God but to your own heart.. God is real and he loves you very much.. Jesus didn't die on a cross for us to deny him.. God bless you

Well, I would encourage you to increase in your knowledge of God. The bible says "my people die because of lack of knowledge" People become bitter at God for reasons that are of no responsibility to God....rather, misfortune many times is caused by our own doings. Even so far as death...death was never an intention of Gods in the beginning but because of man's rebellion against him, we brought death into the world. For example if, for some reason, you ingest a whole bottle of asprin and die....even after reading the lablel, people ask why. Its a quick response of ours as humans when things are out of our control to blame God for them. Its not God's fault! The warning is on the bottle! If you don't know things like this then it is easy to come to a place where you hate God if you have the right circumstance. Increase in your knowledge...read the bible...ask the questions why, how, who, what and when, whenever you read. You will indeed come to a place where you find God as a merciful God and a loving God...best yet, you will know how he is and why he is even today in a suffering world. You will also know what he is doing about it...

Don't pay attention to that person who says you haven't changed...you have come closer to God since a year ago...absolutely but he needs to understand that we, even as christians will still always be human and prone to mistakes until the day of our death. What is left is an issue of learning from them and growing from them. Hang tight soldier, I'm rooting for you!

If you are God's child...God will not judge you. If God himself, the ultimate judge and ruler of the universe will not judge you, if the one who has the last word in all things will not judge you, if he who is higher than any judicial system in the world has pardoned all of your sin and considers you as blameless, who then is left that can speak against his decision?

You do not have to convince anyone about your relationship with Christ. It does not matter if he believes you or not. Most important is for you to know that you know that Christ lives in your heart and that if you died today or tomorrow that you will spend enternity with Him. Live the life before this guy and he will see your fruits. Read your word so you can become stronger in Christ.

In the first place, ignore him: his opinion, correct or not, is irrelevant. Then, examine your beliefs: write down what you really believe, and why. What evidence supports or refutes them? Karl Popper made the point that evidence supporting a belief may be nice, but evidence refuting it is conclusive: you can't prove a theory to be correct, but you can prove it to be wrong. Furthermore, it can be shown that if a theory is of such nature that it cannot be proved wrong, it can convey no useful information: the predictive power of any theory arises exclusively from its refutability. Since no theory of religion is refutable, all such theories are useless, so I don't believe in any of them.

Tell him to go to hell! It's not his place to cast judgment upon you. Only God truly knows what's in your heart, and when all said and done, that's what matters.
These pseudo-christian really irritate me. They can sing and dance in a church as well as the next guy, but I wouldn't call them Christians.
(sigh)
Okay, I suppose the best response would be " are you judging me? Is that a truly Christian thing to do?" and if all else fail, speak to the preacher. Then tend to be protective of the faithful.

Like water on a duck's back.

God knows your heart and that is all that matters.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."

You need not explain your beliefs to anyone. Whatever your feeling is towards God, is just that, between you and Our Lord! And keep believing, because, God is the only man you can truely trust!!!!!
