My partner wakes up every morning with a really runny nose that is like he has a terrible cold? We think that he has allergies of some sort but after many visits to the doctors he has given up on asking to be sent for an allergy test, does anyone have any advice on what may be causing his runny nose and cold like symptoms or where he could go for an allergy test as it is beginning to drive me crazy?HELP

It definitely sounds as though he is allergic to the bedding. It's the dust mite faeces in the pillows and bedding that people are usualy allergic to, or else feathers in pillows and bedding.

Strip your bed completely and wash all the bedding including the pillows at a minimum temperature of 60 degrees centigrade. While its washing, vacuum the mattress and the rest of the bedroom well, including behind the headboard of the bed. If your pillows are not washable, then put them in the freezer for several hours to kill off any dust mites. Re-make your bed and you will be amazed at the difference. you have to wash the bedding very regularly and keep vacuuming the mattress.

If you can buy dust mite proof mattress, quilt and pillow protectors, that will solve the problem too.

It is an unidentified allergy. When I waken every morning I
sneeze at least five times before I am fully awake. This
happens every day, no matter where I am in the world.
I have seen several doctors and gone trough all tests that
I am not allergic at all, it is just me. Runny nose? Well I have
a handkerchief under each pillow and one on my bedside!
I never go out without a clean one. So pal, I am sorry to say
that I am 69 and have lived in many countries and different
climates, and the problem persists. I now joke about it in telling
my wife to screw down my coffin when my time comes since I
may blow the top off and scare the lot. My biggest problem
today is to avoid sneezing in front of my lovely iMac X LCD
screen! So forgive me, I must go now and blow my runny nose!

Hi Kerry

The main point is that the body has some toxins in the blood and is trying to get them out. Having allergies is the sign of a weak immune system and the body must be cleansed to heal properly. I would reccomend a colon and liver cleanse to help remove the toxins and filter new blood in the areas of sickness. Detoxing and Juicing for 5-7 days will do wonders for him.

Best of health to both of you.

My boyfriend is exactly the same. Hes a big girls blouse ..slightest sniffle and he thinks hes got flu. He is allergic to the cats and has hay fever so he takes antihistamines and they seem to work. But as soon as he forgets to take them his nose is running like a tap. Your boyfriend sounds likes hes allergic to something you need to try eliminating possible causes eg brand of washing powder etc. Do get him to go to the doctors and in the mean time he could try zirtec
Hope this helps x

I have severe allergies, the only thing that helps is to use Benedryl at night and Claritin D or Zyrtec D in the daytime. I have to keep it in my system all of the time. You can also try one of the room filtering systems but they are expensive.

Allergic to you, or your body fluids, they return in mornings?
Probably an airborne allergy. That's my best guess.
