I found out i have HPV and that i have had it for probably 4 years and now it has turned into cervical cancer. My main concern is that i can still see my friends and not pass it to them or their children!!!! Please help me im scared and dont want them to get it.

You can pass it if you have sex with them. It is a sexually transmitted disease.

HPV that causes cervical cancer is transmitted sexually. Don't worry about passing it on to your non-intimate friends and their kids. However, worry about your partners and their partners because they can carry the same virus and be at risk for cervical cancer.

Well you cannot pass the cancer to anyone else, as cancer is not a communicable disease. And HPV is passed through sexual contact. So, no you cannot pass it through casual contact.

HPV is an STD that means Sexually Transmitted Disease... So unless your having sex with them then you don't have to worry.

Only if you have physical (sexual) contact w/ them. If you have, let's say canker sore, u can pass that too if you kiss them etc.

i've heard of hiv-aids and hsv-herpes, but not hpv?
