And if they do focus on several, do they have a sense of an over riding ultimate reality? Do they have any monotheistic sense or are they totally polytheistic?

They worship one God who has many manifestations. Used to have a friend who was hindi.

From what I understand they tend to focus on one.

Vishnavites worship Vishnu, some focus worshipping his avatar Krishna (very popular avatar), some focus worshipping his avatar Rama.

Some Hindus worship Siva. I think some worship Siva's wife.

Very few directly worship Brahma.

Although Hindu philosophy would say that all the gods are representations of the true god.

i am not s o sure but i heared that it is foucucsing one one god but its in different forms cause by reincanation

from what i understand thier original scriptures focus mainly on the presence of one god............................
