Aren't they the best? They have the sweetest personality of any dogs I have ever met.

No, I don't have one, but I live in the province they came from. There are quite a few of them here. They are too big for me as a pet, but I do enjoy seeing them at the dog park. There are many stories here about Newfoundland dogs rescuing people, especially from ships that were going ashore on the rocks in storms. The sweet personality is the main characteristic of the breed.

I have a St. Bernard. Newfoundlands are called the St. Bernards of the water. He is the best dog I have ever owned. I breed English Mastiffs but no one can compare to my big, hairy baby.lol
They are the worlds best teddy bears. If your Newfoundland is anything like my Saint he probably thinks he's a lap dog.

I have several and have had them for 17 years!!! I would never have another breed!!!!!

NO....NOT for me.
Couldn't pay me enough to take on a gigantic,hairy,slobber-chops like that.
The amount of manure alone......shudder

But.....".torbay" probably couldn't ABIDE *my* breed!

most dogs have different personalities, i don't have a newfoung dog.
