World War 2

man that is hard to answer depends on were you want to look and how you want to measure. As far as percent of the population and tearing stuff up that people had at the time maybe the 100 years war which by the way lasted a little over or under a 100 years depending on how you measure it. As far as total death and destruction in recent history WWII. The all time winner I think will be the first planetary religious war. Which we are fighting in almost every part of the globe now. When you start counting in everything from Africa to Chetznia this one is going to be big.

Any way you look at it...it would have to be World War 2 hands down, with WW1 a distant second...Desctructive?! unbelievable destructive!...I remember reading the stats on the amount of rubble all the bombing created years back, unbelievable. ALso the human toll has been well documented, pushing undocumented 60 million dead total.

The civil war via far. there grew to become into over a million million a million hundred thousand casualties. there grew to become into utter destruction with the aid of the entire south. a great form of the relax Southerners went to Texas and Oklahoma to stay. drained our financial equipment. a great form of the sourthern states weren't even readmitted for 5 years. specific, no longer returned in the Union until 1870. absolutely everyone's civil war is often the extra serious. Cain slew Abel, remember. closer you get to homestead the deadlier it gets.

I thought it was a toss-up between the “Great Society’s” War on Poverty…Billions spent to increase the percentage of Americans living in poverty over the last 40+ years…Or the War on Drugs!
