Doubt it would because if u suck on a match it goes all soft. Same result if it is in your stomach.. Chemicals wont harm you. They would warn people about sucking on matches if it was harmful. So lighten up dude. It was a striking question though. Your a right spark eating matches anyway.. sorry bad joke

Not sure how you can accidentally swallow a match but my ex when she was pregnant used to strike them then bite off the burnt heads and eat them 3-4 at a time, absolutely disgusting but it never seemed to do her or the baby's, any harm she could munch through half a large family size box a day.

It could have a chemical reaction inside of your body, and something that can create fire most likely has a lot of chemicals that cause harm to the human body, or any living thing in general.

Yes, I would think so. I would call the ER to ask or take whomever to the ER. Is not a small object like a penny or coin so I might think that this could become lodged within the throat.

na ur ok my friend, as long as youve chewed it before you swallowed, but if youve swallowed it hole never mind the chemicals, i would worry about a blockage/ tear in my stomach. by the way was it a spent match?

i dont no why you want this info, swallowing a match is the craziest thing to do apart from swallowing a lit match. i wouldnt recommend it, not if you like your throat to stay in tact

A journey head is often composed of 40 5-fifty 5% potassium chlorate, with a sprint sulfur and starch, a neutralizer (ZnO or CaCO3), 20-40% of siliceous filler, diatomite and glue. some heads incorporate antimony(III) sulfide so as that they burn extra vigorously.

I would be more worried about the fact that its stick like and made of wood than anything else, and the fact that it might either get stuck or scratch my throat on the way down
