Your brother-in-law is in luck! today, most all patients that can't afford they're medications can get assistance with the bill or even free. In the last year (2005) new pharmacies and medication laws were put into affect and these companies that make the meds will give them away to patients that need them. Some of the top rank meds are diabetes and cancer meds along with heart medications so talk to your pharmacist and get the phone numbers you need and make those calls! you and your brother-in-law will be thank full !! Good luck :)

Call his Doctor and the hospitals in your area that do radiation treatments. Ask them where people get help and how to apply. In my state they have a motorcycle ride fundraiser and other events to raise funds for cancer patients to pay for meds, and any other bills . I bet there are funds like that where you are. You'll just have to search. I think the request must come from the attending physician.

Is there an oncology center nearby? Often they run charities to help people with expenses that aren't covered by insurance.
