If not jailed, at least made to pay a hefty (5 figures or more) fine for each one they've hired. That might help to put a stop to the hiring of illegals if those doing the hiring were hit when a stiff fine each time they hired one.

Yes, they are the problem, without jobs there would be no reason to come here. I think that the people that do the actual hiring should go to jail and the company's that have illegal aliens working for them should be fined huge amounts of money. That I think would be much more effective then building a wall on the border.

Yes they should be jailed to set an example for others considering hiring the illegals.

Yes. That or get a hefty fine. That's big part of the problem. If more employers would stop hiring illegals because of penalties or fines against them, illegal immigration would be a much smaller problem.

Yes, or a stiff Heavy fine. Now if they are busted more than once for hiring illegals then they should be made to do time and still pay a fine or maybe even forfeiture of their business.
It is against the law to hire an illegal alien. (and should be punished for doing so)

Yeah...its breaking the law. And if it was that alberto dude above me who hired illegals i say he should get sentenced to go back to mexico and have a tracking device so the govermnet would know when he is trying to hop//swim over the border again

I think they should pay millions toward the national debt everyone is so worried about. Along with hefty fines to illegals who want to stay. It may not be enough but it is a start.

Very heavy fines first. I mean "hurtin" fines. For 1st offense. Jailed for a lengthy time and another hefty fine for the next offense.

Definetely.

The businesses that knowingly hire then should also be fined so heavily that there would be no financial incentive to hire these people.

Yes, fined and shut down to allow the opportunity for real Americans to open up shop and do things the right way.
