Actually there are only one or two that do it. Well, I can be a little too wordy sometimes, but I don-t go to 10+ paragraphs. The truth is, those who do it reply frequently, so it seems that many do it.
When it's too long (unless the question was really asking for details) I just skip it.
Edit:
I sent a personal email to one of them, and he replied defending his long answers, saying people were always asking him for mor detail. I would have taken him at face value, but I notice he has just answered you with a ridiculously long cut and paste, that has nothing to do with your question. So it seems he is just being a pain. That's what I had suspected.

Some questions can't be answered in just a few words. If a person is genuinely trying to express something, I'll read it all the way through. What bothers me is the people who cut and paste from biblegateway.com. That's not an answer, and it's completely ineffective because nobody reads them. Sure, throw in a biblical reference here and there if it's going to support what you're saying... but don't cut and paste half the book. It just shows how small their brains are that they can't generate any independent thoughts.

Maybe 10 minutes ago, I was about to ask the same question. LMAO. It happens in politics too!! My answers are not always the shortest, but I often wondered why anyone would submit an answer, that long. I do read and appreciate long answers, but not the excruciatingly long ones. Thank you and God Bless.

Yes, I think it's because people just copy and paste from another website rather than just providing the link for reference.

No. What really annoys me are people who copy and paste quotes out of the bible in a debate. It shows you have no original thought of your own and can only regurgitate what's been brainwashed into your head.

No. Some questions cannot be answered in just a few words. Some require much more in order to make the answer fully understandable.
