Oh my God. Did somebody really tell you those harsh words? I can`t believe someone can be heartless and cruel enough to say this to you. Well, Normal, and only normal people should feel happy when they see a happy person. Did they expect you to be sad all of the time?
Forget about those ruthless people, dear. You are doing great. You got over your painful experiences, and even your painful illness. I know how psychotic depression can be painful. But the point is: sensitive people can be hurt easily. So try to harden up. Don`t let other`s comment get you down. Remeber that you are NOT responsible for how people act. They act this way becasue they are this way. It`s not your fault. Best luck.

I think it is a healthy thing to laugh, even if you've been hurt terribly by rape at 14. Sometimes that is how you can distract yourself from the pain you still feel. I'm glad you said you're getting help now. Maybe someone thought it was weird that you could be in a lot of emotional pain & still laugh anyway. I hope that you continue to get help & laugh whenever you feel like it & don't worry if it's the "right" thing to do, ok?

Life has been very hard to you. No one could ever imagine what you went through. You may be thinking about other people too much. If what you do dosent hurt anyone then what the Hell. I have a shop and I'm always laughing and joking, but some of the customers say to me 'what are you on', or they look at my diet 7up and say' What have you got in that then'. just say well it's better than being miserable.

That person sounds like a horrid waste of space.
You can laugh at anything you find funny, they have no right to judge you after all they sound like an arsehole.
And your method of putting on weight is a normal reaction, you know that, i know that and if some bozo on the Internet doesn't know that then all i can say is they must be emotional inept.
Live your life honey, people like that just want to cause a reaction X

Laughter is the best medicine so keep laughing!
That person may have problems of their own and may not be dealing with them as you are. Therefore they may be unable to have the same sense of humour about it.
Glad to hear you're getting help and moving on. Hope it all goes well for you.

laughing is good, i feel that there are no boundries other than social rules that ought to be imposed implicitly ny the members of an given group.
eg. i can laugh at anyone for anything with my spouse as we are aware of our true beliefs on each matter. whether that be race, disabililty, sexuality.
I can be nearly a loose with my friends but wouldn't dare make certain jokes with strangers or those with whom i have very little relationship

If laughter could be made into a pill and prescribed wouldnt the world be a far better place? Laugh every chance you get my love and if somebody has a problem with it, thats their problem and not yours. And well done getting yourself together, I'm very proud of you! take care xx

Laugh away girl. You laugh as much as you want to and ignore anyone who tells you otherwise. Life goes on. If others can't see that you are getting over it and starting to see humour in all sorts of situations, it's their problem, not yours.
Laughter is the greatest healer.
