Some guy wanted to know about how much money it costs to launch a boat on blocks in his yard 4 miles from the water, My answer was a tongue in cheek referance to Al gore's movie on global warming saying just wait awhile and the water will come to you and it was removed very confusing considering the HATE that is allowed to remain.

Being made fun of hurts more than gross sexual content or racism.

Really? Hate violation? Seems like this is in Gore's favor! Meaning he's right about global warming! You was robbed!

We're at the mercy of whoever happens to be "monitoring" the site at the time - meaning the users, not the managers.

I lost 12 points because I phrased an answer as a question which was very tame.

Days later, I reported a user that used blatant profanity in an answer - two different times, didn't even try to disguise it - and it's still there one day later.

There's no consistency that's for sure.

I happen to agree with millions of Americans that global warming is a very serious problem. That said, I DO NOT thing the question should have been removed.

If they are going to remove hate content, they will have to remove the entire political section. For some reason , it brings out the worse in people. I have a guy that has attacked me in the question section a couple of times.

Some time ago I also answered a question about building a home while taking the environment into consideration. I jokingly wrote something to the effect that according to some environmental scientists the world would be under water or burned to a crisp in very short order so why freaking worry?...something like that.....He picked me for best answer!.....an environmentalist with a sense of humor!!...although I fear he will be washed away or burned up with the rest of us soon enough...but a nice guy anyway.

There is almost no reasoning behind how Yahoo is enforcing the policies of the company. It will not be too much longer before the haphazard arbitrary policies will hurt them.

My question was deleted b/c of it, but they let people discuss sexual positions, favors, and other innappropriate things on here but I can't put @$$ on here w/ little symbols! Give Me a break!

That was a funny answer and there was nothing wrong with it. It happened to me too and I could not understand why. Maybe Yahoo outsourced to India and they don't understand our language. That would explain a lot.

I guess they go after what people complain about. I complained about a hate filled answer, and it was deleted.. I guess someone does not share your sense of humour...

I think it comes down to dumb luck... if some idiot finds what you write offensive and reports it, Yahoo just takes it down, no questions asked.
