You could have inflamed cartilege.
See a doc and do an mri of the knee. That should tell him if there is an inflamation due to a tear.

In the meatime try an antiinflammatory drug like aleve.

I have had this same problem. When I was 11 I went to jump a fence & boom my knee did the samething. When i was 14 I was running & the samething. Finally when I was 22 I was running again & finally I ended up breaking the "Cartlidge" off my knee cap! I had surgery & it took me over a year to walk again! I was a "All star softball Player" needless to say it ended my playing ball,running, riding bikes,etc.I hope the samething is not going to happen to you.Good Luck & BlondieGod Bless you!
