My sweet beautiful cat got outside last week, she was in heat, and still appears to be in heat, if she was pregnant would she still be in heat, can they stay in heat after being impregnated?

Yes they can carry on calling (being in heat) after becoming pregant ...it's normally one egg released per mating - hence it is possible for a cats litter to have different fathers.

You won't really be able to tell for sure for a few weeks yet - but if she got out & there are entire males in your area then it is almost certain that she is.

Check with your vet. From what I remember I think cats are "induced ovulators". The don't ovulate until they are bred. But I'm not for certain.

get your cat to the vet know you never know and if you think she is pregnant check if she is walking slowly and sleeping alot and eating alot that means she has kittens!!

no, no, and you'll know if she is in a few weeks....just remember when she got out to predict when she'll have them.....they usually give birth in 8-9 weeks.
