on one hand they are just words why take offense?
on the other hand, they are poor substitutes for actual words and they do offend so why use them?
on a theoretical note, christianity couldnt have denounced the words you are talking about because the bible wasnt written in english so how could you go to hell for using them? i think the idea and intention behind them is what actually can be considered "evil" the idea that people use them in order to put other people down is whats bad.

Firstly, we're saved by grace, so even if you do curse, you're not going to go to Hell.
My thoughts exactly. A curse word is just an expletive. It's just the same as saying crap, darn, dang, shoot, fiddlesticks...
I don't think God cares about "curse words" (the Bible never condemns it [I think people who say it does misinterpret certain verses]). When you use them to put someone down or malign them, then I think God certainly does care (the Bible does talk about that).
Some people are offended by such language, though, and that's what you have to keep in mind. I personally don't mind swearing, but I don't do it around people who do mind.

Would Jesus or his followers have used such language? No and Christians today should follow their example.
Ephesians 4:29--"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers."
Colossians 3:8--"But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth."
And everyone who dies goes to hell---it is mankinds common grave.and death and hell will soon be done away with as promised in the book of Revelation. (Revelation 20:14)

I think curse words are merely words used as a method of self expression. Everyone feels the need to express themselves strongly at times, but that does not make them bad people. As long as it isn't hurting anyone deeply, swearing doesn't tear apart the glue that holds society together! I think censorship is more "evil" than self expression. If God gave us a mind to express our feelings, anger, irritation as well as happiness and love, then we are not going to hell. And you can be sure that he did.
Also beward of hypocrites because everyone swears, don't let religious people tell you differently. Hint, hint, the uninteresting and predictable two comments below.

cursing and swearing are not the same thing, to say to someone for example, I pray that you rot in Hell is cursing the person, but the other words that you mention are just vulgar words.
cursing someone is a serious sin and must be repented, vulgar words are the outward sign of human anger and immaturity.

None of those words started as "Bad" words. The B word is a female dog. The A word is a donkey and the F words was an Acronym for Fornication Under the Consent of the King... We today have turned them into derogatory terms. It is bad if you say them to someone in a offending way. If you use them in correct context. Its fine.

Actually, they started as just being regular, unvulgar words that meant what they said and were used at first only by the upper-class. Well, the serving class, wanting to be as well off as or even just equal to their employers, started using the words and then the upper class realized what was going on and started deeming them as "crass", "vulgar", and "base" in order to socially distance themselves even more from their servants, even punishing their servants for cussing. Nothing says "I own you, you flea-ridden dog" more than declaring one's language unrefined.

Ephesians 4:29
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
