If he is really in love with her. It doesn't matter what is his religion. If he wants to marry her, he must first convert to Islam, or he can NOT marry her. It is as simple as that.
All it takes to become a Muslim is to profess the belief in Allah and his prophet is Muhammad.
Muslims believe in God, and they call him Allah, that is what they believe is his name. They believe Allah has 99 names.

I don't know very much about the Muslim Religion. I do believe all religions have something good to offer. However, lately it seems that many Muslims are engaging in unethical acts against other people who are not of the Muslim faith. It also seems other members from other religious groups are doing the same thing. For some reason... for reasons I will never understand an elderly woman came over to me with a birthday cake in a shopping cart... the top of cake box inside the shopping cart had black writing on it that said "No longer exist!" I am presently being persecuted by people and I have never done anything bad to anyone. I think you should check out my question "Do you think the birth of the Red Heifers born in the 1990’s is proof that the Messiah will be coming soon?" It shows the differences in beliefs of the Jewish religion and Christians. My question refers to other questions relating to other religions that may also be helpful. Hope this helps!

Most people that are Muslim are born that way but a number of people do convert. I know a few people that are Muslim.
If may be that your cousin is interested because of her or maybe he is tired of the Catholic religion.
I had one girlfriend that went through about six religions until she settled down on one.
Muslims beleive in Allah (their name for God.) They beleive that God first appeared to the Jews, and that Jesus was a prophet but that Mohammed was the final prophet.
I grew up Catholic but had a Lutheran father and hated all the religious fighting of my relatives. As an ex-Catholic, I can tell you I hated the local Catholic priest that picked on my because of my mixed religious family. I was not allowed to enter Catholic school because of it and the priest threatened not to marry me.
I hate the Catholic attitude about women not allowed to be priests and the scandals with the Catholic church and young boys.
So ask your cousin.

An interest in the Muslim religion and a conversion are two different things. I am a Christian but I'm also interested in other religions and why people believe the way they do. That, however, does not mean I would convert. Perhaps your cousin is trying to learn all aspects of this religion to better understand the foundations so that he can help his girlfriend find Christ? When you talk with him find out what his purposes are. When you do so, make sure it is with love and understanding and do so in a non-judgmental way. Have faith and all will be fine.

Do you know that a muslim cannot get married to a non-muslim as per islamic laws?A couple of my friends got converted as muslims simply to marry the one they love!
Back to your question, You could be attracted to any religion cos of 2 factors
1. The one you discuss it with has profound knowledge of thier religion & provide reasoning for the practises & beliefs.
2. You do not know enough about your own religion to have a discussion so you end up in awe of the other religion.
Each religion has a lot of factors we can admire. What I admire in Islam is the fact that it creates a strong passion & beliefs in its followers. I'm impressed by the fact that almost all muslims I know follow thier prayers.

Allah is just another name for the same God as the Catholic God
there isnt much difference in their beliefs other than Muslims dont believe Jesus is the son of God ( they do respect him as a great prophet though )
so this relationship could really work as they both respect the same people and practically read from the same book ( Muslims also respect the bible and the Quran is like the bible part 2 )

We believe in Allah who is God, just a different name. And when you fall in love with Islam you will know. it is not the terrorists, not the wars, not the hardships, but the true peace, the knowing finally that you have found a peaceful God, one God, with no son. Jesus is His prophet as is Muhhamad, but Muhhamad is the last prophet.
you will hear all kinds of negative things here, but see for yourself, read about it. There are so many wonderful things. The news only has what will give it the highest ratings and that is war and tragedy. But if you can get away from that and live your life according to Islam, you will find such wonderful peace. I know because i became Muslim almost 3 years ago now after being a half-baked catholic all my life.
Salam/Peace to you

As a former Roman Catholic who converted to Islam over three years ago I can say that : He should not do it for the love of a person he should do it only for God. The very word Muslim means 'slave of God' because in Islam we do not believe that we are the sons and daughters of god, nor do we believe that Jesus died for our sins. We believe only in Allah, and we pray five times a day and must fast during the month of Ramadon... it is a pure devotion and way of life. I became Muslim because while I was traveling through an Islamic country I heard the call to prayer from the mosques and it touched me. I began to read of the religion and of the prophet Mohammed. There is much to learn about Islam. But your cousin should only convert if he is really serious about devoting his entire life to God and denying himself the pleasures of this life which are considered wrong in the eyes of God which include: gambling, drinking alchohol, sex with out mairrage, seeing naked women or sexy images, ect.... I wish him luck. It is a hard decision to make if you do not have a lot of devotion to God. Why would someone want to do it? Because it is a fulfilling way of life with purpose. The entire concept of Islam is: This life that we have is very short in comparison with the afterlife and this life is our test to see if we belong in heaven or in hell.

I'll start with the p.s.s.
It's all about believing in God in Islam, but the only one God.
What's great in Islam is that it respects human intelligence. When you become a Muslim, you'll never come across something that you find unbelievable or does not make sense.
What's great in Islam that it was the first way of life that calls for freedom, justice, and equality.
What's great in Islam is that it's a complete way of life. It's not only about worshiping God and following his commandments, but it also guides you through all aspects of your life.
Add/
You know this is really a great question. With all the restriction Islam calls for (in comparison with the life in the west), there are still people who want to convert to Islam. There must be something about this religion, ain't it?

Muslims believe that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah And we reject the false Gods. Allah is the lord of everything thats created. We worship him alone. We dont associate any partners with him. This is called tauhid (oness of Allah). Tauhid is the foundation of Islam. All righteous deeds are not accepted without tauhid. Allah sent Muhammad as a mercy to mankind. He is his slave and messenger. Allah revealed the Quran to Muhammad by revelations which angel Gabriel delivered from Allah.
Allah is the same god as the jews and christians only the christians believe that jesus is god. We believe in all the prophets, Moses, Noah, Abraham, Jesus, Muhammad.

Many times people convert to a religion or ideology for many reasons other than that they truly believe in it.
The most frequent reason I have seen for this is because they do not want to give up the attention of someone they love or because a religion or cult fills an emotional need.
