194 lbs? Nobody can lose that much wait in that short of an amount of time. Honestly gastric bypass is the most effective for that amount of weight loss. To lose some weight between now and then try Curves, it is a great place for women. 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week. Walking helps especially if you are inactive. Good luck! Avoid those diet pills, they are a waste of money. Read the fine print.....use with sensible diet and exercise plan. You can lose weight without those pills if you go on a "sensible diet and exercise plan".

If you go on to the website for the show The Biggest Loser they have a way that you can enter your height and current weight to get how many calories you should eat each day to lose weight. I would say set a goal of 10-20 pounds a month to lose. You shouldn't try to lose 194 pounds in five months that is very unhealthy, but you may be able to lose 80 or so by then with proper diet and exercise. I am sure you will look nice either way.

There is no secret plan to loosing weight quickly. No miracle drug or diet plan that will, as the infomercials so eloquently put it, "melt the fate off". But that doesn't mean you can't lose the weight, i recently lost 30 pounds easily. Not my partaking in a radical diet program but following the canada food guide and excercising. I understand that every individual is different and the thing that might work for me, might not work for you, so make sure whatever you read you take with a grain of salt and consult your doctor about it. Try a low calorie diet (this is usually 400 calories less than your regular diet, so if you're eating 2000 calories a day, switch to 1600) Cut out fatty foods and look for healthier options - baked lays instead of regular, sugar free items, diet items, and the like. Excercise is key, try to opt for a routine - 3-4 times every weeks for about 30min (longer if you can). Yoga is very good for acheiving a lean, long looks so i suggest a 2 hr session of yoga every week - it is very calming and does wonders. And work come to worst, there are places that supervise and guarantee medical weight loss....such as Dr. Bernstein Health and Diet clinics.

here are some references that you can use to get started.
That's the most important step...to get started! And then stick to it!
weight watchers (very motivating to attend weekly meetings!)
www.sparkpeople.com (they will plan meals for you to help you lose weight)
www.thebiggestloser.com
Also let me recommend lots of fruits and vegetables--at least five a day. If you are filling up on healthy foods, you are less likely to eat the foods that will trigger your appetite and hinder your weight loss. Start slowly by going for a walk every day, and then gradually increase your time and distance. You will feel so good about yourself. Best of luck!

In three and a half years I have lost sixty five lbs., it was not easy and it is an uphill battle. Low carb for six months. Curves for the other three years. Low carb is difficult to follow for say a lifetime, but I have tried to keep on low carb (eg. wheat bread, brown rice, OLD fashioned oatmeal, splenda, (very little white processed stuff, limited sweets)

Well, it matters how much you weigh. If you are like well, 300-600 pounds then you really need to see a physician because at any time you could go into cardiac arrest. If not , then just eat healthy like oatmeal for breakfast, Salmon for lunch and grilled chicken salad for dinner. Good luck to you@!!!
