Wander around Times Square. You will have great photo ops and great people-watching.

You'll have a wonderful time & you what you are already planning is plenty. You will be exhausted--but in a good way. Don't forget to visit the UN Headquarters & take the very inexpensive guided tour too. . .it's very intersting & will hold everyone's interest. Manhattan is very safe these days, so I'm sure you'll enjoy. If you plan to travel by public transit, most people will gladly give you directions--get unlimited fun passes & you can ride the subway or bus unlimited times. (If you're driving, please remember that there is no right on red in NYC--it's pedestrian friendly.) Bring very comfortable walking shoes. Formal footware is not necessary in NYC unless you go to very formal events. Have fun!

I always like doing the NBC tour, since you are going to be at Rockefeller Center anyway, that's a suggestion.

I would suggest visiting FAO Schwartz, the ultimate toy store experience. Try a carriage ride in Central Park. I noticed you didn't say Broadway, that is a good option as well.

The city will be crowded with holiday shoppers. Keep your purse under your clothing. Do not carry a shoulder bag.

Have a great time!
