I just recently had a relative pass away that had a lot of cats......we found some photos that mean a lot to the family....but they smell terrible. Is there any way to get rid of the smell? Or at least weaken it so it is tolerable?

You don't want to spray anything on the photos, that will ruin them. You can put them in a box with Fabreze, dryer sheets, moth balls, or whatever, but that will take time to work.

If you want to enjoy the photos now, get copies made. A good photo place can make copies that look just as good as the originals. That way everyone in the entire family can have a set of the pictures.

1 Throw away the original box.
2 Air them out for a while. DAYS!
3 put dryer sheets in a box with them, underneath the photos and maybe tape one or two to the lid of the box.

sounds like the cats might have urinated on the box or something.

first off change boxes or items that the pictures are in, prefer something new. next you could put a few moth balls in there for a while, like in a sealed box. or maybe a paper towel soaked in fabreeze..don't spray the pictures direct.

Wipe the photo and try to find a chemical that you can spray it with... You could smudge deoterant on it. I know a great smelling deoderent. It smells like strawberry.
