ALWAYS thaw in your refrigerator..allowing 21/2 to 3 hours per pount. For a 12 pound turkey it will take 24-36 hours!!!

Depends on the size and the method - in the fridge, a 16 pound turkey will take about 3-4 days. A larger bird, in cold water will be faster.
