I have blackheads really bad on my nose, every thing I use on it doesn't work, that stuff by Clearasil and stuff. Any other suggestions? My skin is pretty sensitive

All the women in my family have incredible skin because we have traditionally used only minimal commercial products for skin care. I'm 55 and everyone tells me I look like I'm in my late 20s or early 30s judging by my face.

Twice daily (morning and bedtime routine), using a clean white wash cloth (preferably made out of flannel rather than terry cloth) and water as hot as you can bear... hold the wash cloth over your face with emphasis on your trouble areas (blackheads). Pat your face, never rub with a cloth, letting the warmth soften your skin. Immediately after, using clean cotton balls saturated with "witch hazel", rub in "inward" directions (facial skin is very sensitive and sketches easily). Close your pores by splashing cold water over your face and neck... and that's IT. If you have a dry feeling to your face... I use Virgin Olive Oil (no garlic) or a little Vitamin E oil. I never recommend soap or lotions.

I am in my thirties and still have blackheads! I like Mary Kay products for keeping my face clean. I wash my face every morning in the shower and every night before bed to reduce the amount of oil on my skin. The Mary Kay products are great for sensitive skin and I have noticed a big difference with my blackheads. The biggest thing is keeping your face as clean of excess oil as possible without hurting or drying out your skin.

Try the Bi-or strips. It sounds like you have thick pores in your T zone area. The strips will clean out the black heads, but you will need to keep them cleaned out in between using the strips. I use an exfoliate type face wash with a slight abrasion. Also Dove has a new gentle exfoliate soap that does pretty good. Once your blackheads are gone once you use the strips, your pores will seem big and wide open, but they will shrink if you keep them clean. When you sweat is when they fill up with dirt again so avoid rubbing your face with anything but a clean towel when you sweat.

I would suggest you see an aesthetician. Product like "soap and water", and clearisil are actually working against you, especially if you have sensitive skin. Those products have a drying effect as opposed to a balancing effect. When you dry your skin out, it caused more sebum (oil) production. This in turn will cause MORE comedones(blackheads!). There are alot of great products that you can use, and a lisenced aesthetician would be able to help you get on the right track to beautiful skin.
Also, dont squeeze them yourself. You can cause alot of damage including broken capilaries, scars, and brusing!
hope this helps!!!!!

When you're in the shower, rub some baking soda over your nose. It doesn't feel all that good, but not very bad. Just make sure you don't rub too hard. But that should help.

there are some things that are specified for blackheads. just be sure not to wash too many times per day, because that can actually cuase bigger breakouts
