I have an 1990 S - 10 blazer when installing intake gaskets on a 4.3 do I leave the flat plugs on each end?

flat plugs that come in one end of the gaskets one end has the plug the other is open

i am thinking the flat plugs you refer to are freeze-out plugs. yes they must be in place and in good shape. myself, if they if they have any rust on them i would replace them as well.

if you are refering to the dial pins then its yes.they are there to help hold the heads till you get the bolts in.
