I have thick brown hair that comes down to about my mid upper back. I can not get it to stay in a messy bun. I have tried gel, hairspray, spray gel, some sorta wax product, everything nothing works. I've also tried bobby pins, probably a million of them. Anyone know how I could get my hair to stay in a messy bun?

is your hair straight?
- layer it
- brush it in random ways (not backwards though)
- use your fingers to comb it up, twist/or wtv u do
- use /tight/ hairband... the hair's loose doesnt mean the band's loose too!

good luck ^^

hmmm..personally i would get it cut a little shorter, my hair is medium in length and i can do a lot with it. Really short hair and really long hair are hard to do things with. But try using salon hair spray. When you put up the messy bun, first just do a regular bun, then start, pulling some of your hair out of it, then clip it and spray it back and your good to go.

get your hair thinned out alot. that helped me style my hair better but i dont know if it will help your hair go in a bun. but try.
