I read something that said: You get up everyday to go to work right? Exercising is the same. You just have to get up and do it. Walking 30 a day is a start, even in 10 min increments.

Basically don't look for exercises. Look for an active hobby.
Dancing is great fun and there are all different types for you to try. You can get free starter classes at some night clubs and it's a great way to meet new people too.
If you hate walking the streets going nowhere then get a dog. It's a great excuse for walking around, you get friendly face to greet you every evening and you'll run around like a mad thing with it in the park.
If you really want to walk then visit a museum, you'd be surprised how big the things are, or join a walking tour or a hiking group. There are groups for all kinds of activities. Find one that takes your fancy and give it a go. If nothing else the trip to find out will have used up a few calories.

Once you start, you'll get hooked. You can't hate every form of it as moving counts as exercise!
Starting walking is a great idea, enjoy whats outside - plants, trees, birds etc. You can set yourself a goal which makes it a bit more fun too - walk to a certain street / lampost / anything.
Next time, walk a bit further and build it into your routine - ie. go out every morning, or straight after work.
Exercise is incredibly helpful to many other aspects of life and its fantastic you want to start doing it. Start with the walking, you'll find you can go further for longer, and you'll be jogging / running in no time. Great thing about that is that it costs nothing and you need no special equipment - there is no barrier to starting!
If you can afford it, join a gym and ask for advice there - but you must motivate yourself to go! Just having a gym membership will not make yourself fitter!
Keep it going and enjoy it; it'll change your life for the best.

It really depends on whether you've actually tried every form of exercise or you're just suffering the initial knee-jerk reaction toward the idea of having to exercise. Initially, I'd suggest taking stairs instead of elevators, park farther away in the parking lot (when it's safe to do so), and generally making other conscientious changes to your daily routine.
Try a few exercise types that you may not have considered before, not just weight-lifting and tread-milling, such as yoga or swimming. Both of these exert all of your body, including your cardiovascular organs, without being overly strenuous.
Most importantly, don't give up, it's not easy to make changes, take your time and do it slowly. Remember, you have to do something for 21 days in a row before it becomes routine, it'll take time.

It is called depression. It sucks away your motivation to exercise.
The way around it is to start out doing something simple that last less than 15 minutes.
Stand in your kitchen, hands on the counter top for balance. Squat down slowly, go up slowly. Do this 10 times.
Step back a bit, hands on the edge of the counter, do pushups 10 times. back and forth. When doing this, keep one foot back a bit and lunge forward with the other leg (doing hands and leg at the same time). Then reverse your feet and do 10 more pushups/lunges.
I do mine at lunch time at work in the job kitchen.

When you go to the store, park in the farthest area of the parking lot and walk. This may not seem like much, but it will add up. Also, you could try doing something nonstressful, like yoga.
Wear a pedometer on your belt and see how far you're walking regularly. Go to the mall, go to the park, ride a bike, play a sport, swim, etc. There are a lot of ways to get exercise other than a ritual of a daily workout.

we all hate it, we just do it because it means we look good, and can eat what we like rather than starve.
It would help to know where you live. Walking the streets however sounds soul destroying. Suggest you join a group of other people who also hate keeping fit - no NOT at the pub, in the park, or wherever else they congregate - in London you can do military fitness in one of the parks, there are also jogging clubs etc. It's never so bad if you're suffering in a group!

Walking is great! I lost 40 pounds that way. Just put on your walkman/ipod and walk. Walk purposefully with your head up and at a good speed and swing your arms. I'm still around 2 miles 3-4 times a week. It really does make a difference and you get fresh air too!

I hate it too. I walk to work instead of driving and I combine my weekly swim with a gossip with one of my closest friends. Is there somewhere you travel to frequently that you could walk to instead? I find walking boring but if I am using it as a mode of transport it saves me money and I end up exercising without really noticing it. Good luck.
