Ihave purchased windows original os for rupees 6000/- and i installed in my computer. after some time due some reason/problems i have formated my system and reinstalled the original os but the microsoft is not activationg my os and insisting to purchase another prodct key

If you purchased your OS legally then you should also have received an Authetication Sticker with your key printed on it. If this key is legit and no longer works then you must call MS to reactivate.

Microsoft is the only place to activate, if they told you to buy an other software, you have no choice.I know it is UN fair, I paid $300.00 for my windows xp three years ago I ordered that on line from a company called Tiger direct. I can't activate my xp now they told me this software was activated many times.

go online and down load a very small program called Belarc it's easily found and it's free it will find your key and your serial number and list all your drivers and any windows updates you either have or need nice program for a freebie

for first man or woman who replied the version from vista to homestead windows 7 is as comparable as from homestead windows xp sp1 to sp3 so diverse the drivers which suits on vista works on win7 yet whilst he does not likes the vista i do no longer think of he will like the win7
