Peel a couple of large potatoes and simmer them in the stew for a while. Remove these potatoes before serving.

Adding a little lemon juice can help, but be careful not to make it too lemony.

Or you could create two stews by dividing it and adding ingredients to each half - a lot more work though.

I hope this helps.

There are several ways, put 2 peeled russet potatoes in the stew, they will absorb some of the salt. You can dilute the stew, take half of oringal mix out and add back liquid and veggies that have not been seasoned. Finally you can add heavy cream to make it rich tasting and less salty

You can add a potato and it will absorb the excess salt. After about 15 min. simmering w/ the salty food you remove and discard the potato and the food should have a TON less salt. I got this tip from the chefs in my culinary school where I assist chefs in their classes.

Add chunks of potato. This is supposed to reduce the taste of saltiness.

Peel a couple of potatoes, chop them into quarters or halves - very large pieces, and cook them in for a while. They will absorb a lot of the salt. You can throw them out or use them in something else later, but don't leave them in.

Drop large chunks of potatoes in there. It's been known to absorb the salt somehow.

Many soups and stews are better the second day. I always eat chili the second day rather than the first day.
