Pink eye is very contagious as you know. I would wash your hands after touching anything that he has touched. When I say wash I mean a surgical type wash. Wash the back of the hand with soap for 30 seconds, the palm of the hand for 30 seconds and under neath your finger nails.

Get some rubber gloves and wash everything you can with a solution water that has10% Clorox mixed in by volume. Only wash things with Clorox that will not bleach due to the Clorox. Make your room mate wash his pillows and bed sheets several times. If you can Clorox them - let them soak in the washing machine for 10 minutes in the Clorox.

As far as youself - make sure you do not touch your face accidentally after touching unclean surfaces. WASH WASH WASH YOUR HANDS

The only other thing to do is find a healthier roommate. LOL

The "best" way to avoid it is to wash your hands. Advise him to wash his too. Plus-stay away from him as much as you can.

He should not rub his eye and touch things..cause if you touch those things and rub your eye you can get it.
