Put your alarm clock at the other side of the bedroom, so that you have to get out of bed to turn it off.

If I didnt get up before sunrise 2 things would happen. I would have no hot water for a bath, and I wouldn't get time to look on yahoo answers. The only one who wants an invigorating walk at that time of the morning is my dog.

Nope! And why the heck would you want to unless you lived in a place where it's dark for best part of the day! It's one of the reasons I refuse to get a dog, because I'd have to get up at the crack of dawn to walk the thing every day! It's not that I'm lazy, I'm just NOT a morning person!

You could put notes around the house reminding you of the health benefits you are recieving by getting out of bed and walking.Read them during the day and right before going to bed.The bed may be comfortable now,but in the long run you will feel more comfortable in your body.

i'm 42 and still haven't figured that one out yet.
the obvious answer is to go to bed early, which i don't think i've ever done, i usually zone out watching the tube for a little while before falling asleep around 12 or 1am.
my parents were always up at the butt crack of dawn, i guess it's just a habit one needs to develop, and to make something a habit you have to do it for 22 days consistently... i'm gonna go take a nap.

I think that it will take awhile for you to get used to getting up that early. The person who said put the alarm clock accross the room is right. Then you just have to make yourself get up. You will eventually get used to it. You will probably want to go to bed s little earlier too.

You have to train yourself to get up early. Once you get use to it, you shouldn't have a problem. I've been getting up early for years, and I don't think twice about it., except on the days I can sleep in, and can't, because I am use to getting up early.

I've found that the only sure fire way of getting up reliably is if you're actually looking forward to starting your day.
