my 9 week old puppy wown't stop biting things, he wants me to scratch/pat him and when i do he bite my hand...he ambushes me. sometimes he hides behind a corner and when i walk past he pounces.he lives to bite and chew anything that moves. when i was watering the garden he just sat there but when i moved(the hose) he dived at it and had an epic battle with it.

is this normal???

My Bichonpoo had the same problem. I would firmly tell her "no bite". She now knows what "no bite" means and most of the time does not bite me but if she attempts to all I have to do is say "no bite" and she stops. I also taught her "switch" when she is chewing something that she shouldn't I remove the item that she shouldn't be chewing tell her "switch" and give her something she can chew. An invaluable tool in curbing her chewing of "bad" things has been the Kong. She absolutely loves it. Also try Nylabones NOT rawhides, the pup can choke on them. And plenty of toys. Be patient, be firm don't shout at the pup and whatever you do don't hit the pup.
