Hello.

I have recently given up my addiction to marijuana (About four days ago)

I was wondering, how come i feel weird, like, i dont feel the same, since i quit. i feel more aggrssive, more anxious, more anxiety, more depression, and i feel more pressured.

How long will these feelings last for? until all the THC is gone from my body? or when?

Please help

Thank you all to any posts!

Quit the pot eh.

Well, truth is it isn't addicting in the usual sense however it does tend to make one more passive, increase hunger, mask over real world problems and even reduse nausea.

So, when you stop using, it is normal for all the feelings from your normal life to return and hit you broadside. And until you come to grips with all the reasons for smoking up in the first place, those feelings aren;t going to disappear.

First off, if you can, get to a doctor and have one heck of a thorough physical done to be sure your respiratory, sirculatory and all other systems are in good working order. I don;t suspect there are any problems but it will set your mind at ease about your physical health.

Second, join the Y or a gym and get involved in activities that do two things - one is to get you out and about to associate with others. second is to start toning you up by getting you physically active. No, I am not suggestign you try to be a body buiulder, just go for walking, swimming, aerobics and other forms of exercise that put you into shape and make you meet other people.

Third, If you have any stress from work or school or other sources, try to figure out the cause and then deal with it. Get help wiht school work, do a better job at work to keep people off your work, etc. whatever it takes to be more productive and not always feel like you are falling behind.

I suspect that within a few weeks, you will find you feel a whole lot better and yoru body will be healthier too.

Be STRONG!

This is a positive step you are taking. Not only will it be better for your body and your mind it will be better on your pocket book!

Have you thought about how you are going to handle the "friends" you use to smoke with? Don't forget little things like that. peer pressure no matter what age can be harmful. And, if they expect you to still do it and do it in front of you after knowing that you have stopped, re-think your friendships.

Give it a month or two. Depends on your body. Evey one will withdraw differently. But once you do you have accomplished a great task.

Nothing can stop you now. Make goals for yourself!

The thing is you felt all these things before, too, but it was all masked by the high. Now your life is more in your face and you notice it! Now you have to deal with it. You can do it. Lots of people do it all the time. You can too. Wish I could tell you how in 10 words or less. This is where the work comes in.

Do some self-awareness workshops and classes. Meditation, yoga, chikung, pranayama can all help. The Landmark Forum helped me mightily. website: http://www.landmarkeducation.com/ Here's another good one: http://www.chikung.com/

Anytime you put a chemical into your body on a consistent basis and then abruptly stop, yuor body will feel this absense in many forms.Depending on the chemical, the reactions will differ.Your body is withdrawing from this.I don't know how long it will last, but you could contact a rehab counselor for more information and advice on how to handle this change.Congratulations on quitting.

It can take up to 1 full month for all the THC byproducts to leave your system. THC is fat soluable. It has a lot to do with how much you weigh, and how active you are.

It generally takes 30 days to work itself out of your system completely. However, if you work out (exercise), it will help you feel better and get out of your system a little quicker. Good luck.
