Start slow and small. The best way in my opionion is take a small goal, achieve it and add another. Once you acheive those few small goals shoot for a little bit of a bigger one. If you can conquer it... Congratulations! if not... Congratulations you took the steps to try it. You boosted your esteem..
If that goal was to big, go back to the small ones. When your ready your self esteem will be back and you will be solid.
Good Luck

You may have to keep your health on check since you've had five strokes...change your lifestyle, spend time with yourself a little bit during the day....and all the usual things you need to do, your diet etc. I assume you do take some medication too.

You have to work on your self esteem, you feel you are drained out, after all that, physically and mentally. But look at it this way, in this situation, the beauty of the whole thing would be to ''survive'' out of it. Make some mental notes on where it went wrong, and how. And list out the things you could do to regain it back, perhaps with a new look to it. Adverts, a good staff, or if you are doing it yourself, new marketing strategies etc. At this point of time you have to do a lot of convincing yourself, that alls not lost after all. No matter how bad it looks like now, and with new ideas, new ways to live through this time as much as tough it may look. At this point of time your self esteem has to be built up by yourself, and smile at yourself at every little success that you achieve all by yourself. Think that inspite of the five strokes you've had, you are still here, and perhaps it is an indication that you still have unfinished business. Read on whatever you can, it may be tough as you may not ''feel like it'', but force yourself, and bring out the winner in you.

Surround yourself with positive people, share ideas, thoughts, doing that you are still learning, your way of thinking would change. And do all this, even if you still feel half hearted, you are the only person who can make you say ''just do it!!''. Everything will slowly fall in place.

Like i said before, to someone who was really down, It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up (quote by Vince Lombardi). I feel thats so strongly true.

Goodluck

I'm sorry to hear about the things you have suffered. But your health is the most important thing. Take this time to focus on your health and recovery. It sounds as though you have been through a lot. I think you need to really pour into yourself. Take time to heal, and pamper yourself, take it easy.... Get people to help you with chores, and house. Keep your appearance up, because it will help you to see yourself looking your best. Stay busy doing things such as reading books, magazines, cross-word puzzeles.

It may be important to receive physical therapy, and accept all your encouragement. Accept any help that is offered. Your loved ones have your best interest at mind.

As for your lost business, maybe you should take this time to reinvent yourself. Try doing things that aren't physically assertive. If you did it once, you can take a new path this time. Sometimes there is loss in life, but you have to move forward, and move on. What is your passion? Pour into your passion, and take a zeal for life. God has blessed you, so I know you have a purpose, because you're still here. Take things easy, just a little at a time, one day, one step at a time.

If you get the o.k. from your physician, I think a college class would help you to stay busy. Nothing that is too stressful..You'll have time to meet new people and explore other options. Surround yourself with loving, encouraging people, family, friends, loved ones. Best of Wishes. God is on your side!!!
