1. Reinterpret the 14th Amendment to not allow babies of illegal immigrants to have rights under the constitution (anchor babies).

2. Form government organizations to find employers of illegal immigrants and impose strict heavy fines for them.

3. Increase border security and authorize the border patrol to use force if necessary to restrain the illegal immigrants.

4. Allow local police to break up protest groups of illegal immigrants demanding amnesty since they have no rights of petition.

5. Scold and possibly sanction the Mexican government into submission for them to stop being so selfish and to provide more for its impoverished people.

Wouldn't that help?

That would be a good start. On # 2, the employers should be fined "and imprisoned", On # 3, We really should relocate all military bases, training centers and bomber practice site on our borders, north and south. On # 4, our federal government should immediately pass federal laws making it a felony for any illegals to assemble, march or protest as well as carry any flag other than the flag of the united states. On, # 5, The Mexican government should be lined up along with all the wealthy land owner and corporate big wigs and be executed and let the people of Mexico form a Democratic country.

Yes, great ideas

By the way, #2, there already IS a government organization (the INS) and the companies can be fined up to, $15,000 per occurance.

The problem is not lack of funds, or not enough government. The problem is WASTED funds and TOO MUCH government.

I hear people speak of these evil "corporations" who want to keep illegals here. Who are they? I have to believe that any major corporation receives citizenship/work verification before they hire someone.

And if you are talking about the farm corporations, then if we want to fix the problem we need to pay more for our food so that the farms can pay living wages.

So, how many American's are willing to pay $5 for a head of iceburg, and go and apply for the harvesting job? Anyone?

I thought so.

You are one American who sure knows how to protect our soil! My sister thinks like you.....she said that we should plant a few land mines at the border. That would work too.

If we are willing to see our troops killed for the freedom of other people in nations half way around the world....then why can't we use such defensive measures to maintain our liberty here?

Wouldn't it be GREAT if our law enforcement officials were allowed to check for citizenship of ANYONE they deem suspicious and enforce the immigration law right then and there by escorting them to the border and deporting them?? WE already have the LAW against illegal entry!! It just needs to be ENFORCED!!

All those things you speak of would certainly deter others to enter illegally.

I agree with everything except for number 1. The children aren't guilty if they're parents are illegals. They are U.S. citizens and should get rights as any American would.

Yes it would. I definitely agree with the fifth one. Rich countries should put money together and that money should be given to the Mexican countries and they should provide the best for their people.
