Nope, they are what they are called. You eat when they say eat, sleep when they say sleep, and if they ask you to jump, you ask, how high? It sucks and I haven't seen a movie that comes close. Male prisons, usually get more food and more privileges. It's a place where there is no hope day in and day out. And all kinds of things happen, and if your wise and want to go home. "I didn't see anything," should be your answer. As a matter of fact - I was released a year ago today! Freedom rocks, and if your smart - stay away from illegal activity.

Not really. Prison is very boring. There is violence and there are rapes, but pretty much if you mind your own business you don't have many problems. The problems start when you get into debt, (drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.) and can't repay that debt. Then you've got serious problems. Other than that it is just mind numbingly boring.

Do you actually think Hollywood wants to see the daily life of REAL Prisons? Or understand it or anything else?

It really depends on the movie. "American History X" is a pretty good example, "The Longest Yard" is not.

It is much worse. Imagine the smell, the noise and the boredom. The food is all but inedible. And there is constant danger.
