This happened some 7 years ago and my wife just told me about this incident .My brother was 15-16 yrs old then . My brother did tear off my wife from family photos . when confronted by my Sisters to explain why , he could not say .

I am worried that he could be habouring hate for my Wife even though now they appear to relate to each other well .

Yah your right about the hate thing....he wouldn't have done it otherwise. You need to have a sit down with your brother.
Sounds like there are some unresolved issues there.
Your brother could be hiding something, if they seem alright now maybe its just a front....
So talk to him about it.....see whats up??
Good Luck to you....

He is probably for the most part over that.

1:
Why he did it is probably a venting act to save you. He was used to you being the brother role in the family that you all previously had. By getting married he felt as if your wife riped you out of the picture of his family so he did the same to her. His way of defending you.

2:
Another possibility is that he believed you two were life partners after growing up and fighting battles side by side. Then out of nowhere you disassociate yourself from what he has always believed as true. You called a girl that you have known for a much shorter time and had very few experiences with your life partner. In his mind she was unworthy of that title and was a disgrace of your presences.

it may not all be the fault of your brother---could there have been some other trauma -- like a bad girl-friend or did your wife do something that caused hurt or betrayal to yo bro...---- all of these thoughts are just speculation and only the truth is held by the two of them

Hum, I just want to say that on Yahoo Answers you will get lots and lots of great answers, but with this question you will never get the exact real true answer. But I do suggest jealousy, grudge perhaps maybe a bad experience. Please talk with your family and brother.

Maybe they were seeing each other and your wife didn't want to be with him anymore. So het got mad and ripped her out of the picture.

I don't know how old you or your wife were than or if you were married but that's the first thing that popped into my head.

Don't get upset, was just the first thing I thought of.

If it happened seven years ago and they appear to relate well now, I suggest you leave the issue be, although, some apology to you and to your wife would indicate your brother is o.k. now. Be well.

Your brother was so young,he may have been jealous, and thought that your love for your new wife would replace your love for him.

Perhaps he didn't consider her an immediate family member.

he was sleeping with her and your wife said she couldn't be with him no more, so he got pissed off and ripped her out of the photo's. that's my guess!
