Burns on the hand are a concern as healing (scarring) may permanently decrease the ability of move the fingers. In general you may use a topical corticosteroid cream such as hydrocortisone. When the fingers are involved I would suggest that you see a physician to avoid loss of movement. A physician will be able to prescribe cream specifically designed for burns.

Aloe or any water-based mosturizing cream is best. Do NOT us oil-based products such as petroleum jelly. You can also take advil to ease the pain and help with the inflammation.
If it is a large burn that covers several fingers and the blisters are weeping, you may consider going to the ER. If you do not have insurance, try to find an urget care center or a clinic.

Aloe Vera directly from the plant is very good. I have used this on burns many times and it works really well. Buy a plant, they are relatively inexpensive, about $5, snip off part of the stalk and squeeze the juice directly on it. You can also use aloe and vitamin E oil combination. My daughter had 2nd degree burns on her fingers, palm and forearm and this worked really well.

Fresh Aloe from a plant works the best, yes. But if you can't get any of that, try Neosporin and a lose bandage. It helps take out the burn and heals it within a few days.(depending on the severety)
Hope this helps and get better soon!

Wash it gently with a gentle soap and pat it dry. Then put a loose gauze wrap around it to keep germs out, but allow air in. You don't want to put anything on a burn like that or you could seal in an infection.
