I have the same problem, but as far as I know, you can't download it anywhere for free. From the microsoft website you can download a Word Viewer, which will let you open Word files (but not edit them).
Otherwise, you'll just have to save Works files in either rtf (Rich Text Format) or MS Word (.doc) format, so it can be used in programs.

Second off, don't listen to the people who say that openoffice isn't as good as Microsoft Word, while you may it be not be able to everything Word does, it does about 99.9%.
If you really have to have Microsoft Word, look into to getting the student/teacher edition, it is substantially cheaper, if you are in school, you qualify to use it.

Any way that you could do this would be illegal, as Word requires a license for each computer it is run on, therefore you have to pay for it.
If you're only 15, maybe it's time to talk to your parents about the need for useful software to do your schoolwork. Either that, or find a cheaper word processing program.

First of all, don't listen to the stupid people that keep saying use OpenOffice.org. It doesn't have everything like MS Word. I think it's possible to buy Microsoft Word on it's own, without Excel, PowerPoint, and all the other programs. You can buy one just like this at Best Buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6027426&st=microsoft+word&type=product&id=1063630090681. It may cost a lot, but I think it's worth it.

just go use one at a library, or think about asking your parents to get a new one. Doesn't Works include MS office? The last time I remembered, they did.

Just stick with works. I have it and I've been using it for a long time now. You probably want MS word just for the paperclip guy, don't you.

You cant. You can only download the reader from Microsoft. Instead, go to http://www.openoffice.org and install Open Office. It is VERY similar to Microsoft Office, but at no charge. Yes, it is fully compatible with word, just make sure you setup your save preferences to be in word format instead of openoffice format.

Yes. There is a special discount for young people like you. Go to any computer store that sells software and ask for the 5 finger discount. They will be happy to help you. Trying to get software off the internet only gets you a virus or porn on your computer.
Otherwise, try OpenOffice.
